Let me start by saying I won this book and I'm happy I did.
Jenna is a great person and an awesome writer and I'm so happy to have found her and all her work.
This book had me from the cover and it looked so inviting and it was and then some.
This book had all I enjoy in a read and I could not put it down for one second and when I had too,it did not take long for my mind to wonder what else was going to happen and I could not wait to get back to reading this.
The story line is great the characters the plot EVERYTHING!!!!
I was totally swept away with this read.
Jenna Pizzi is great at what she does and I can not wait to read more from her.

I totally enjoyed this book. It did have typo's but the story was really told well. It is well worth reading. You will not be able to put it down as you want to find out how it ends. I read a lot of books The Long Road Home is right up there with my best seller books. Read it you won't be sorry.
I'm about halfway through the book and O...M...G! The number of errors in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, made-up words (agreeance?? really?), phrasing (seriously,it's the girl next DOOR, not the girl next STORE!) & all around odd wording has made this especially difficult for me to read. The story so far is ok, though I suspect I can figure out where it will lead. But, with every page I read, all I can wonder is why the author chose not to have anyone proofread for her. Very distracting to say the least! I just keep reminding myself that I got it as a free download & sometimes, you get what you pay for!
This book came along for me at a great time... I had been tapped out of ideas of what to read next, so when I came across this on , I was intrigued. Sometimes I just want a light read that I can connect with and get completely submersed in... This book did it for me! I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much, as it was written by a new author. The characters were well developed and I loved the many "What are you thinking!?" moments that kept me on the edge of my seat... I read it on my iPhone any chance I could... beach, waiting for appointments, at night... I just could not tear myself away! I look forward to more books by this author. -)
This was one fantastic read. From the drop, I was enthralled in the world Jenna created for Christina, her friends & her family. Add into the mix love, heartbreak, and a little crazy..this book has me begging for more even now after its over. What a great story of what someone will do and how hard they will fight for what they believe is theirs...right or wrong. In the end everything happens for a reason.
Christina isn't the type that believes in "love at first sight". She's grown up with an absentee father who has spent his life building his empire and buying Christina gifts to replace his absence. According to him, her life is planned out... after graduating from Harvard and a summer of fun, Christina is to enter the working world and "grow up". When he suggests spending the summer together in Cape Cod, at a place her mother adored, she agrees. This is, after all, the one place she remembers vividly as being a happy, loving, family.
So begins, what I call, the roller-coaster ride of emotions! Christina meets tall, dark, and handsome Logan, but she doesn't feel that "spark" she thought she would. Then enters Michael. *sigh* Tall, rugged, sandy brown hair, and emerald green eyes. Of course, it's love at first sight. So what could go wrong? Two words... Logan Harrington. As Christina falls harder and harder for Michael, Logan begins his quest of winning her over. And so begins the triangle that is Christina, Michael, and Logan.
This book had me up reading until 6am. It pulled on every one of my emotional heart strings. I cried, laughed, yelled, and about 70% of the way through the book, I threw my down and refused to read anymore. I just couldn't take it. I picked it up again about an hour later and finished my reading marathon. If you've read The Opportunist, then this is it on steroids. A great read from a great up and coming author who is sure to send us on more roller-coaster rides in the future. Can't wait to read more!
The Long Road Home by Jenna Pizzi is a roller coaster of emotions. My favorite part of a Pizzi story line is my inability to predict what happens next, and this was no exception. Just as I thought I had figured out where she was taking these amazing characters, she would throw up a huge road block and completely change direction. This book is a terrific story masterfully written. It has that ring of truth that makes it nearly tragic. Thank goodness for a well earned HEA.
The plotline/story was good, and kept your attention. However, it is hard for me to give something I like even 4 stars when I'm constantly irritated by typos, mis-spelled words, words inserted where they don't belong, and having to read a sentence more than once to understand what is going on. There is no excuse for that. The author isn't to blame for that, but didn't she (or one of her editors) proof this before allowing it to go to press? It's annoying to a reader. This was a free kindle book, so I guess I shouldn't complain too loudly, but geez! I have other free kindle books that have no typos and were well written.
I can understand those who were intensely involved in the story line. It had a good enough plot. It is about a man obsessed with a woman and who will go to any lengths to have her, manipulating her entire life. The characters were real enough and developed fairly well.
This is a debut novel. Promising, but not yet there. Almost reminded me of some of Danielle Steels most recent works - the ones that read like some fledgling underwriter took over. Albeit, some like that Harlequin type of writing, but I've moved on and expect more from my novels, even the romance ones.
